Wrong Perceptions about Online Business

We hear about people being extremely successful in their internet business. Maybe you’ve tried getting into an online business yourself, but were’nt able to succeed like others.

Internet marketing success happens when people have the right mindset and  realizing how it all works. By not expecting to get rich quick, from working just a few hours a day. Also knowing it won’t happen instantly, but will take a while to start producing any results from a lot of hard work.

By being your own boss, you’ll need to set goals and work out a schedule that works for you. Self discipline is required to run any business, and an internet business is no different. There is a lot of time investment needed to become successful. Many new skills need to be learned. But learning alone wont achieve results. By applying the knowledge you learn to your business, is the only way to move forward.

There are so many ebooks and courses around today, and piecing all your newly learned skills together to make your business work properly, can be very daunting. Just building a website and hoping visitors will find it just does’nt work. Many people fall into “get- rich- quick” schemes. These are all over the internet, just waiting to take your money. Trouble is, they will be the only ones making any money.

The best thing you can do, is find people you can trust, who are already successful, and  willing to help you, and keep following them. Don’t be fooled by all the distractions that appear in your  inbox everyday. Sometimes this is very hard to do, so by unsubscribing to  mailing lists that are’nt putting any effort into helping you will take away much of the temptation. Most of the time, these just take you away from actually working on your business, and may not even apply to your business model. So, ask yourself if it is really going to help you, if not, you may be wasting your money.

If done properly, by building your business over time, and putting the effort needed into it, you can  become successful, and  able to have the lifestyle you wish for. Just don’t expect it to happen overnight and with very little effort on your part.

  1. Hi Cheryl,
Just popped in to say hi.
I’m also a Dave Nicholson student and hope you are enjoying the course also
    How true your post is.
Unfortunately, we live in a ‘want it now’ era and very few have the patience required to see anything through, which is sad really.
Think your blog is great and that all your posts give a real insight to the writer, you.
    thanks

    Hi Cheryl,
I have to say your post rings so true, if you’re not prepared to put in the hard yards, do your research and set yourself up properly, you are not going to to succeed, and this is true of all investments.
Which is what any business is about, if you invest your time into learning the right way to run your business, and work your learned skills into building your business, with a little guidance you will succeed.
As they say, ‘rome wasn’t buit in a day’, and neither are businesses.
I can see from this post Cheryl that you have a real understanding of the effort it takes to achieve your goals.
    Kind regards,
    Jason.
